‘Cars and trucks are coming to Prince George’s County’: Sheriff’s office says car, truck could hit road at Prince George, Maryland

On Monday, Prince George County Police Chief Scott Smith said officers have identified two vehicles that may be involved in a crash at the intersection of Princess Highway and Interstate 95.

He said officers will be monitoring traffic for several hours.

“I can’t comment on the specifics, but we have identified one vehicle involved in this crash and we are following the leads,” Smith said.

The collision happened at 11:15 p.m. on Monday at the Princess Highway overpass and Interstate 35E overpass in Prince George.

The vehicle involved was traveling eastbound on Princess Highway when it crashed into a truck, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The vehicle’s driver, who was transported to a hospital for minor injuries, was not identified.

Smith said he did not know the driver of the vehicle.

“We’re looking for witnesses to the crash, but I don’t have a suspect description or any information on that vehicle at this time,” he said.
